Ross Robotics demonstrates the advantages of deploying a radiation sensor that can be controlled and monitored at a distance, using a robot, and going into environments that are potentially hazardous to human beings.
The Ross Robotics robot platform deploys the Symetrica Verifinder radiation detector either on the robot itself in a payload carrier, or on an arm. For flexible, reactive operations, swapping from one mode to another is possible in minutes.
CBRN International took place in Coventry on Thursday February 16th 2017. Ross Robotics Limited took part as an exhibitor and demonstrated the EXTRM 2.0 with plug and play accessories including: Kinova 4DOF manipulator arm, Smiths Detection Ion Mobility Spectrometer sensor LCD 3.3 and Steatite MPU5 MIMO Mesh Network RF communications system.
The Ross Robotics plug & go accessories range is receiving a new addition in the form of the Kinova robotic arm. Available in various formats, the Kinova arm is a welcome addition providing low mass and dexterity.
